Architects is a simple story collection of mad and brilliant builders. With some stories short and other stories long, I.J Steinberg wraps readers in a world of absurdist situations and simple human wants. In this collection readers will see an Irish fighter trying to become a writer and struggling with what others want him to be, an architect in Atlanta's Clayton County trying to build a home for others, even if they don't want it, and a professional poker player who wants out of her "hum drum" life of glitz and glamour, booze and sex.
By taking traditional storytelling formulas I.J Steinberg tells of people wanting something, something getting in their way, and them either getting what they want or not getting what they want.
In the end, everyone throughout their lives tries to build something better.
