You will find peace in the noise and silence,

But first you’ll have to figure out which is really louder.

The secret of the present is that it’s a gift,

But you can’t return it no matter how much you want to.

How much deeper could you dream if you never slept?

You would feel safe if you never had to close your eyes again.

To close your eyes is a mark of trust,

But calming the storm of your mind needs another tempest.

Moonlight will shine on your one true path,

But it will be winding and you will be weary before your done.

Still all good stories need some kind of embellishment,

How else will you lie to yourself?

Truth is but the step towards a better life,

But lying is how you survive that “better” life.

Deceit is the poison of this world,

But poison purges the perfunctory and the profane from a person.

Find the true light in this world by leaving the dark,

So long as you never lose that little dark inside of you.

Balance can only be found from within,

So let yourself off the hook once in a while.

Believe in yourself,

By believing your own bullshit.

Never lie to others,

But always lie to yourself.

Say every morning that you can keep going and it will be so,

This is the best lie you can tell yourself.

Fiction is what you write it out to be,

But so is the truth.

Never wander lost and hazy,

But am I or others truly crazy.
